
OUR STORY
Huong Viet Restaurant originally started out as a meat processing facility in Garden Grove, CA in 2020. The goal was to provide a variety of affordable, ready-to-eat, meat products to sell to supermarket retailers and become FDA and USDA approved. Our founder, Sherry Nguyen, had five kids, hence the name of the restaurant, so feeding such a large family with little time was difficult, so she created 5W Food Processing to help other families like her who wanted already prepared foods.
Throughout the years, the business expanded and a to-go restaurant was founded, 5W Meat Factory, also in Garden Grove. The restaurant would primarily serve party tray caterings and a variety of to-go meals. In the summer of 2024, we expanded beyond the walls of the meat factory and opened Huong Viet for dine in as well.
